About Global Underwater Hub (GUH)
The Global Underwater Hub (GUH) is a strategically focused, intelligence-led organisation aiming to transform the UK’s underwater industry into one of the largest and fastest-growing industries in the country. GUH supports over 300 UK supply chain companies with global expertise essential for a successful energy transition and sustainable use of the world’s oceans. The organisation has regional hubs in Aberdeen, Newcastle, and Bristol, as well as international partnerships in key markets around the globe. Our key sectors include offshore energy, renewables, defence, and aquaculture, with numerous partnerships across industry, government, and academia. The underwater industry is currently worth around £8bn to the UK economy and supports 45,000 jobs, with exponential growth forecast across the ‘Blue Economy’.
Led and governed by industry, GUH represents, promotes, and supports all sectors of the underwater industry by providing companies with the market information, connections, and access to specialist expertise to ensure growth. Global Underwater Hub works in partnership with industry and the education sector to provide successful STEM initiatives, attracting the next generation of workers into the underwater industry and profiling opportunities for exciting, long-term careers in some of the most innovative organisations in the UK supply chain.
What You’ll Be Doing?
At GUH, we’re excited to have an opening for a Regional Membership Manager (South), a role central to our mission. The Regional Membership Manager’s primary responsibility is to attract, retain, and grow the GUH membership in the South of the UK. This role involves developing strategic relationships and projects with existing and potential service users (members and partners) across the underwater industry sectors, particularly in the defence and offshore energy sectors, including marine renewables and floating offshore wind.
