ADLIB Life – The one about Joe

Joe shares his take…

When I was a kid I wanted to become…
A professional footballer… I know, pretty unrealistic! Being a Tech Recruiter is definitely a close second though. Oh, I also wanted to be a high jumper but I’m only 5ft 7”!

For me, this is “what working at ADLIB” is all about:
Collaboration and transparency. No internal politics, we constantly share information across the teams to support each other to support our awesome clients and candidates. We don’t make promises we can’t keep, we manage expectations and tailor our approach to suit the needs of your business/job search.

My biggest feel-good moment since I’ve been at ADLIB:
To this day, it’s got to be the first placement I made back in 2018. It’s a feel-good moment in itself but when the entire office started celebrating with me (if not more so than me!) it really makes you feel valued.

How I explain what I do at a party:
Though I do recruitment, my mission goes way beyond that. Aside from helping South West businesses find their awesome techies, I run events, go to workshops, offer job-search advice, advise people on their internal processes and strategy. The list goes on and I love it!

Beyond recruitment at ADLIB, I care about…
Anything green, sustainable or outdoors. I’m a big advocate for sustainable living and try my best to use green products and sustainable materials where possible. As someone who spends most of my day in the office, I try my best to spend as much of my post-work life outside, whether that’s cycling, hiking or playing football!
