When I was a kid I wanted to become…
I was a disco dancer growing up so was obsessed with glitter / anything that sparkled and wanted to get in to performing arts or acting. Playing Theseus in my primary school’s rendition of Midsummer Night’s Dream is technically as far as I got though…never mind!
For me, this is what working at ADLIB is all about:
Working alongside incredibly knowledgeable humans who genuinely love what they do and care beyond their day-to-day roles. To be part of a business who are well respected within the industries they work in, who are also incredibly supportive, transparent employers is a great feeling!
My biggest feel-good moment since I’ve been at ADLIB: There have been many it’s hard to choose, but a recent win has to be placing a UX Designer after both them and their partner were made redundant during the pandemic. The candidate was more junior than the role but had a great attitude towards UX principles and design thinking, on top of a solid foundation in multi-disciplinary design. Naturally I was really routing for the candidate, and I was so happy for them when they were offered the job! It’s great working with clients who see real potential in people!
How I explain what I do at a party:
I recruit within Design and UX for the only recruitment company I’d choose to work for; they’re the only B Corp recruitment business of their kind!
Beyond recruitment at ADLIB, I care about…
Outside of work I do care a lot about communities and charities, so I volunteer whenever I can. I also love eating out and travelling to new places. If I can combine a trip to the sea and find a pasty on route, happy days!
