When I was a kid I wanted to become…
Lots of things! Aged 9, and after watching Jurassic Park, I was desperate to become a palaeontologist. And I wanted to see a living T Rex, just like Alan Grant! As a teenager, I wanted to be a pro skateboarder or an artist but studied Physics instead.
For me, this is “what working at ADLIB” is all about:
Aside from everybody being amazing at the core recruitment day job, it’s incredibly inclusive here and it genuinely feels like we’re a collective, in it together as an employee-owned business, and on a mission to positively impact the industries we work within and the communities around them. There aren’t many recruitment businesses that are B Corp certified and a lot has gone into making that happen. And whilst we’re serious about doing the best job, nobody takes themselves too seriously. Without exception, everybody in the business is a lovely human ????
My biggest feel-good moment since I’ve been at ADLIB:
It’s not easy to pick one but it’s incredible to work with so many amazing purpose-led businesses. And my team is awesome – they’re all super lovely and very experienced. It makes my job a breeze. There’s masses of potential for team Marketing to grow over the next year and beyond too – exciting times ahead!
How I explain what I do at a party:
If you really press me for an answer I may go off on a tangent about how I’m genuinely not like most recruiters you’ve worked with (apart from the rest of ADLIB of course!) but I try my best not to talk shop outside of work. Stick on some Kiki Gyan and I’ll show you some terrible dance moves instead. Or talk to me about tattoos, running, and how skateboarding used to hurt a lot less when we were younger…
