About the role…

As the Impact Solutions Director, you will leverage Biohm’s proprietary biomimicry-based methodologies to address complex environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a business model that delivers high-impact, sustainable solutions for multinational clients, guiding them toward achieving their Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take charge of  creating innovative service offerings and building, as well as leading, a team dedicated to driving measurable impact. Your work will expand Biohm’s leadership position in biomimicry and biotech towards regenerative business solutions and establish lasting partnerships with key industry players.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development and Business Growth:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business model for Biohm Partners, targeting the sustainability and ESG-related challenges of multinational clients.
  • Build and manage a solutions framework that integrates Biohm’s biomimicry-driven approach to address complex environmental and social challenges.
  • Define revenue streams and ensure the division achieves its profitability and growth targets, with a focus on scalability and long-term impact.

P&L Management and Financial Oversight:

  • Take ownership of the P&L, overseeing financial performance, profitability, and cost management.
  • Set and manage financial KPIs, including revenue, margin, and profitability targets for the impact solutions division.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Client Acquisition and Strategic Partnerships:

  • Lead business development activities to identify and secure new clients for Biohm.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with multinational clients, acting as a trusted partner in addressing their SDG and ESG challenges using Biohm’s biomimicry-based approach.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable impact.

Solutions Delivery and Project Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of impact solutions projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and high-impact results.
  • Build and lead a team of specialists or work with external experts to deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions for clients.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to support the growth of Biohm.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the division, encouraging team members to excel in delivering regenerative solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Collaborate with the Innovation and Impact teams to integrate the latest research and technological advances into client solutions.
  • Work closely with the CEO, Managing Director, Head of IP, Head of Partnerships, and external legal counsel to ensure that all of Biohm’s IP is well-protected as it evolves over time.
  • Work with marketing and commercialisation teams to build Biohm’s brand presence, developing case studies, thought leadership content, and industry events to raise awareness of and showcase Biohm’ successes.
  • Share insights gained from client engagements to inform Biohm’s broader research, development, and commercialisation strategies.

Service Development and Innovation:

  • Continuously evolve Biohm’ offerings based on client feedback, market trends, and technological advancements.
  • Develop new services and products that align with Biohm’s mission and provide innovative, impactful solutions to clients.

Impact Measurement and Reporting:

  • Ensure that all solutions projects deliver measurable sustainability outcomes that align with clients’ ESG and SDG goals.
  • Develop and implement impact measurement frameworks to assess and report the long-term outcomes of Biohm’ engagements.

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates to the CEO and board on performance, including financial performance, client acquisition, and project outcomes.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including industry partners and thought leaders, to promote Biohm’s mission and drive industry-wide change.

Key Requirements & skills:

  • Experience: You have extensive experience in high-value strategic partnerships, sustainability consulting, or impact-driven solutions, ideally with a focus on addressing ESG challenges for multinational clients. A proven track-record of building, delivering, and scaling successful consultancy services is a must-have. A background in sustainability, biomimicry, or regenerative design is highly desirable.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, set and achieve financial targets, and deliver profitable consultancy projects. You are skilled in defining revenue streams, managing budgets, and ensuring the financial sustainability of a company division.
  • Client Management: Proven track record of building and nurturing high-value partnerships with multinational clients. Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to understand complex client needs, propose tailored solutions, and drive long-term engagement. Existing relationships with potential clients for Biohm to support lead generation is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership experience with a passion for building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams. You are an innovative thinker who can inspire and guide your team to deliver excellence and drive measurable impact, balancing compassion with a drive toward ascendency to maintain Biohm’s unique team culture.
