Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join an award-winning business intelligence agency based in Bristol. What you’ll be doing:
You will work closely with engineering, reporting, and client-facing teams to drive innovation and service delivery. A key aspect of this role will be supporting the team with strategic decision-making, ensuring that proactive processes are in place to maximize efficiency and impact. You will also drive forward the commercialization of new ideas and improvements, helping the business to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Providing insights and analysis to answer critical business questions will be central to your work. Your ability to interpret data and communicate findings will be instrumental in shaping strategy and delivering value to clients. Additionally, you will mentor and nurture team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture that encourages growth and innovation.
Eventually your role will evolve more and you’ll have chance to really make your mark in the business. By taking ownership of key areas within the business, you will act as a ‘mini CEO’ for projects or accounts, ensuring that they are managed effectively and delivering value.
 
What experience you’ll need to apply:

  • A strong understanding of analytics, reporting and data engineering
  • Experience with Python, Apache Spark, R (e.g. NumPy/Pandas/SQL)
  • Knowledge of data warehouses like Databricks and Snowflake
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong skills in data visualization and analysis tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly

 
What you’ll get in return:
A salary of up to £70,000 (DOE) per annum, plus an exciting package. They also have a great flexible working scheme which can work for you, it includes compressed hour options, flexible working and flexibility with office days – provided that you can commit (to the minimum of) one day a week in their Bristol office where they catch up in person.
