World Host Group (WHG) is a leading web hosting and domain name provider with 14+ brands under our belt (and counting). In 2019, we set out to build a scalable hosting business for a global market, building infrastructure and developing location and network-agnostic software with 24/7 global support.

In the last year, we grew from 80k actively hosted sites to 1 million. We acquired eight businesses, bolstered our brand portfolio from 3 brands to 18, and grew our global team from 30 to 350+.

About the Data Insight Analyst role
Join World Host Group as their first Data Analyst! Sitting under a brilliant mentor you’ll have an amazing opportunity to make your mark and grow your career in this fast paced, exciting environment.

The nitty gritty
You’ll get involved in creating reports, presenting to stakeholders and telling a story with the data. You’ll be tasked with providing further insight to technical and non-technical people alike in order to understand performance.

You’ll sit under an amazing mentor and lead the way in working more effectively and efficiently. You’ll be working in a data driven environment where they want to be able to understand how they’re using the data, what this means and more. You’ll work closely with the marketing team, sitting under the CFO and help provide insight on new customers, their current customer base and possible expansions, as this company is always wanting to grow and improve!

What you’ll take on

• Analyse touchpoints across the customer journey
• Reviewing the way the customers interact with the brand and enhance this
• Get involved in data modelling and working with various data tools
• Showcase your visualization skills where you can utilize tableau for reporting and more!
• Presenting data in engaging ways to people across the business – from juniors to seniors

What experience you’ll need to apply

• Minimum of three years in a commercial environment, working as a Data or Insight Analyst (or similar)
• Ability to work in a stand alone role, or as a Senior within a small team
• Understanding digital and marketing data, and experience handling commercial customer data
• Ability to present insights and tell a story behind the data, making the data more than just numbers!
• Tableau Experience
• Knowledge and understanding of marketing aspects (such as PPC, SEO, campaign analysis)
• Experience working in an agency or similar fast paced environment
• Ideally commerical experience with data tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Confident communicator who has experience with stakeholders (whether this be stakeholder management, presentations or engagement)
• Bonus for commercial experience with Google Analytics or similar
• Bonus for commercial experience with SQL
• Ideally a degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant subject (ideally Data/STEM etc.)
