We are looking for Senior Electrical Engineer to join a progressive organisation dedicated to transforming fuel sustainability. The company aims to make synthetic fuels more accessible than fossil fuels reducing the carbon impact of global fuelling. With rapid growth underway, they’re expanding their engineering and support teams moving towards commercialisation. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in optimising the solar power system, improving the overall system electrical architectural and designing the electrical safety system processes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Focussing on optimizing solar power systems and achieving direct DC solar to DC load coupling with minimal middleware or controls.
• Minimising system complexity and cost while optimizing and simplifying the overall electrical architecture.
• Managing power supply distribution, control systems, and instrumentation, as well as designing processes to ensure electrical system safety.
• Ensuring adherence to relevant standards and conduct HAZOPS to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Overseeing the deployment and operation processes to ensure the effective implementation and performance of the systems.

What experience you will need to apply:

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale DC power systems.
• Proficient in handling and prototyping DC systems with voltage ranges of 1000-2000V.
• Bachelor’s or Masters (or PhD) in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience of deconvoluting complex scenarios to translate them into actionable steps.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
