View profileThe MotherBoard Community Event Series is a series of community and business events both online and in-person to drive tangible change for Mums & Women in Tech. Our speaker feature series is designed to shine a spotlight to our incredible speakers who donate their time and share their perspectives, stories & skills with our community.
MotherBoard sat down with Vikki Yaffe, CEO & Founder of Time Hackers to discuss her key piece of advice from her session ‘Time Hacking: How to Achieve More in Less Time’ earlier this year. Feeling time poor, and the ‘struggle of the juggle’ is a common feeling for many working mothers, and Vikki’s session explores some of the key techniques she uses with her clients to help shift their mindset to time management to help them work more time efficiently with their brain, rather than against it.
If something isn’t working for you, then drop it. Time and productivity tools are just that, tools for you.
It doesn’t matter how many people are telling you to wake up at 5am, “eat the frog” or plan your entire week out on a Sunday, if something isn’t working for you, then drop it. Time and productivity tools are just that, tools for you.
And so often we become tools for them.
Losing sight of our goals, the impact we want to have, the way we want to live.
All in pursuit of “getting really organised” or “more consistent”.
Without considering that perhaps we’re not meant to be consistent, or organised.
Success doesn’t come from completing to-do lists.
Success is only about the results we produce.
By focusing on results, and outcomes, instead of tasks, and to do lists, we already jump 5 steps ahead and become more effective and productive with our time.
Vikki’s the CEO & Founder of Time Hackers, and the creator of the Time Hackers Method, helping busy overachievers & forward-thinking organizations optimize their time. Now a “reformed hustler”, Vikki specializes in helping successful do-it-all-ers unlearn time rules and drop outdated Time Management to-do’s so they can achieve more in less time. Vikki has built a community of global Time Hackers, and now certifies coaches in her unique Time Hacker Method.
