When I was a kid I wanted to become…
A vet! I love animals, although the work experience at our local vet put me off as the head of practice didn’t seem to like them as much!
For me, this is “what working at ADLIB” is all about:
Having a brilliant and inclusive culture with no big egos. It’s the first place I’ve ever worked at that I’d feel comfortable inviting anyone around for dinner with my family. In recruitment that says an awful lot. Being a B Corp also makes you think of the impact you are making to the environment not just in work, but outside too. I’ve sold the gas guzzler and feel much better for it!
My biggest feel-good moment since I’ve been at ADLIB:
Seeing the growth of the Science and Engineering teams and developing partnerships with some of the UK’s most innovative start-ups.
How I explain what I do at a party:
I try to avoid talking about myself if I can help it, I’m far more interested in other people! I usually say I find talented scientists for start-ups and scales-ups.
